Haven't read the text of the #NoPainAct, but reports of it sound that it is sacrificing those who suffer from chronic pain to the zealotry of anti-addiction. For people recovering from surgery or dying from cancer, pain robs them of any joy in life. I'm most concerned with old folks, like my 90 yo mom & 95 yo uncle who only wish to live the few years they have left not in pain and couldn't care less about becoming addicted to the pain meds that make their mobility possible.
