Doodles of 2025 in review / an excuse to post things on new platform.
I didn't do as much arts as I wanted last year for various reasons, but I managed to pull out some stuff anyways.
- Late join to the trans trading card trend, via IggyMaid's "draw your OC in this outfit" challenge on bsky.
- Managed to knock out something for trans prom this year while it was still relevant
- doodled Chiaki from My Impossible Soulmate in my style per LynnSenpai's challenge; rather literally but I didn't trust my ADHDemons to do it quicker if I was more creative.
- An appropriately rush-job single-panel comic for Make A Terrible Comic Day. It was really freaking hot that day.
- Tribute to my favorite winged girls, Rakka from Haibane Renmei and Nagisa from My Impossible Soulmate. Something went wrong with Rakka's eyes but otherwise I'm really super happy with this one.
- If I had a nickle for every time I've vibed with a girl with messy hair and flight-incapable wings, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right?
- Phantasy Star avatar cosplay for Halloween and for phinally doing the Phantasy Star 3 first-playthrough stream
- and a rush-job doodle for the holidays in three mildly different variants
2026 isn't looking like a good year for art focus either but we'll see what happens. I'd at least like to knock out a new avatar (with clothing layers for outfit changes).

Back at it, yesterday, Oct.15, fishing in Monarch Canyon. It was another grand day. I'm working the stream heading, up, toward one of the many deep holes in the creek. Hanging down it the bottoms, in the colder water, are mountain white fish and rainbows. Funny thing, I don't fish to catch fish. I do it as meditation, as a creature of nature.

I used to wear a lot of gear fly-fishing. Then, one-day crossing a swollen stream, I lost my footing. Waders began to fill with water, dragging me down stream. I managed to get to shore. I stripped to my skin. Now, I only wear my vest and shoes. The vest carries my flies, tools and fishing permit.

I went to the mountains yesterday to collect a few more insects for my collection. The Forest Service had cut a path through the fallen trees that had blocked the road. Those who use wood for heat, will collect the wood left by the side of the road. The trees were brought down by a violent wind and snow storm.
By the end of the day, I had two Salomon Flies and a few butterflies.
