thinking about playing Infinite Space; historically challenging as it's one of those games i like the #IdeaOfIt very much but lose interest at some point thus never completing

i'm @ a point where i could play this in full, as i'm super into space stuff right now (as i always am when i get the urge to play this) but with #ArmoredCore coming out in a few weeks + my inclination to play games to completion #NoMatterWhat -- i will have to wait so as not to disrupt AC time.

When you're doing the internal work for yourself and you run across something you don't like, your connection to your dream has to overpower that.

You have to decide that healing means more to you than avoiding the fear of whatever it is you found.

You have to decide that those painful hurdles won't stop you, that you're willing to do it anyway.

That's how I got here. I kept deciding that the dreams were more important than the fear and pain that came with healing myself. I simply decided to keep going no matter what.

Every time it would get hard, I would go back to the reason why I was trying to do the work in the first place. That was the fuel I used to push through the next hurdle, and the next hurdle, and the next hurdle.

I'm out of hurdles now. I've done the grunge work for myself. I don't have to do that anymore. But I will say this: After 50 or 60 hurdles, they stopped being such a big deal. I really only needed the dream as fuel long enough to gain confidence in what I was doing. Eventually, when I came up on another hurdle, it didn't bother me because I knew I could handle it.

You have this power too. You have to make a choice to connect to your dream in a way that gives you the fuel you need to push through the hard bits.

The dream may be simply wanting to be happy. It doesn't have to be a big dream. It doesn't have to be a specific dream. It just has to be important enough to you that you're willing to do the work to get it. You're willing to stop avoiding the things you're avoiding. You're willing to stand and face the fear.

How bad do you want it?

That's really all it is. You just have to decide.

The minute you do, you'll face that thing, you'll do the work, and you'll jump the hurdle. You have it in you. You just have to decide you're ready to do it. Nobody can make that decision for you. You have to decide for yourself.
