The ceaseless planetary skimming was getting to me. I was moments from giving up and doing something else. The game seemingly sensed my desperation through my haptic grip on the mouse and finally relented. It presented me with the object of all that searching, not almost out of view but nearly right in front of me.
I've discovered a Stone Effigy. I can't move it, can't pilot it, can't activate it to do anything useful. I've simply discovered it. Is that enough? Ask me later. I have a base to build around it.

In No Man's Sky just now, I used a Relic Gate mod for the first time. I was just standing when I used the emote (only way you can use it). Transported me from where I was at the bleeding edge of the Euclid galaxy to a random undiscovered system in the Eissentam galaxy at the helm of my corvette. It spanned galaxies.
That was fun.
