Adding one here: Burden of proof and how do you sufficiently prove or refute the "vibed" nature of any given work without falling to arbitrary / unpredictable results.
One more argument for self-hosting.Also interesting to projects such as #bizzfed or #nolto both of which would likely or clearly be banned from the platform now.

I reiterate my point on "this needs appropriate amounts of capital to execute as federated professional social network". Especially if it's supposed to not instantly fall into the extraction-business-model-trap / surveillance-capitalism-trap.

I had been working in parallel: detailed research on technical choices, product mechanics, business-model viability under distributed/FOSS conditions, and how to test everything in practice for such a product. Nothing yolo — but nothing yet proven in production either. Jonathan precluded me by just yolo'ing the Nolto MVP. Thanks for that.
To move from proven demand to a solid, maintainable product I need proper capital, runway and possibly 1-2 additional people.
I'm looking for European-aligned funding - preferably from Germany, Poland or Denmark - networks that value independence and data protection without the usual bureaucratic overhead.If you know the right people in those circles, please connect me with them before the current momentum fades.

A very fresh #LinkedIn #europeanalternative #Nolto is shutting down after a few weeks operation. The lonely creator received rather unfair, irrealistic and personal attacks. That's too bad.
On the other hand, this is a useful experience. As a non-programmer, he started the development using #AI. In such a critical production code, this is probably not really helpful. #Vibecoding is a debated approach even if used by experienced teams.
I feel bad for the guy anyhow.

Omdat ik er ook als de kippen bij wil zijn als er een fediverse alternatief voor LinkedIn blijkt te zijn. Geen idee of ik er veel mee ga doen, LinkedIn gebruikte ik geheel niet. Maar wie weet. Voor als ik weer eens op zoek wil naar kunstzinnige of illustratie opdrachten.
