Example from the town I live, coincidentally where Claes Tingvall works.
If I had a car and drove the 2,5km to work, I would make two 90° turns, one a give way, one a broad radius curve.
The shared cycle/pedestrian route for the same journey involves gravel, mud, ten tight 90° turns, three 110° turns, two barriers at a rail crossing.
All so that the #NollVision can avoid motorists having to show consideration to another kind of road user.

Flipside, there's quite a lot the supply side could do to reduce road accidents as well.
The #NollVision for motorists in their airbagged, ABS'd, 4wd, two ton tanks makes life slower, less convenient, and less safe for anyone not in such a tank. Result? More tanks.
Sweden has no cycle culture to speak of, #motonormativity gets baked in from age 15 when kids can start driving, and traffic planning in some kommuner has yet to move on from 'predict and provide'.
