Today is Nollaig na mBán, or Women's Christmas – a day traditionally celebrating women's contributions. At SWAI, we honour ALL women, including sex workers, whose labour, resilience, and voices often go unrecognised.
Sex workers are women, mothers, daughters, and friends. They are part of our communities and deserve respect and dignity. On Nollaig na mBán, let's reject stigma and build a world where every woman can feel valued, safe, and supported.

The GPO was established as a base camp for the protectors of the land, water and air- against the proposed 900m deep underground gold mine (#cyanide) processing plant by Canadian company- #DalradianGold'.
Dalradian are proposing to use up to 10 tonnes of cyanide daily in their operation, as well as a cocktail of other harmful chemicals.
Day 2166: winter wonderland, very cold and all roads to camp covered in thick snow.
Took my Little Women into town today for Little Christmas and to give my wife some me-time this Nollaig na mBan. Dropped into the National Museum before the playground. Perfect weather and a nice way to end the 12 Days.

Some Irish musicians I follow just posted good wishes for #NollaignamBan - Women’s #Christmas. In Ireland of yore, the end of the twelve days was marked by a day off for the women who bore the brunt of extra housework during the holidays. The men were expected to pick up the slack for one whole day! 🙄
Also called “Little Christmas” it’s now more often a time for taking down the decorations.🎄
