Yet again, so close, yet so far. This time the problem was that some of the spider enemies in the jungle spawned a bit too close to the Holy Mountain and breached it, angering the gods. I did kill Stevari, but eventually had to face Skoude in the very last Holy Mountain. I did it, but it left me with just 80 health to deal with Three Eye. And all it took was a panic teleport to a lava flow for an instant kill.
To add insult to injury, I did have a lava-to-blood spell in inventory..

Drat. So close and so far.
I reached old Three Eye for the first time in #noita, but I vastly overestimated my firepower and underestimated one of my perks: Bouncy Spells.
The problem with bouncy spells became apparent when I tried to flee. The bounciness also applied to the teleport spell, so I could never be sure _where_ I teleported. The final nail in the proverbial coffin was that my black hold digging spell also attracted the boss' holy bolts. All of them. So my death was instant.

Welp, I got out of the mountain for the first time. I got the orb of Knowledge from above the mountain, then explored the sky temples a bit. I was low on health, so a visit to the clouds in the west ended very, very quickly.

thinking about the noita demake… how can I change the gameplay to fit with toki pona?
in noita, everything tries to kill you! the fun part (for me at least) is abusing spell mechanics to design crazy wands that err… kill things better
this fits if the world is out to get you, but I don't think toki pona is that kind of world…

I've been getting a little further in #noita.
The main insight is that I shouldn't be in a hurry.
Sure, the sanctuaries refill your health and get you new spells, new wands and new perks, but you won't make full use of them if you don't have any gold. So it's profitable to be slow and methodical in your descent.
I also found a temple, avoided an optional boss and found a racetrack of some kind. I did a few laps, but I'm not sure whether there's any reward there.

Vaihteeksi Keuruun kulmilla muutama tunti. Päivän paras kohde oli Lieran luola. Yksi niistä paikoista, joissa Suomen viimeinen roviolla poltettu noita Antti Lieroinen tapasi piileskellä silloin, kun vainoajansa liian iholle yrittivät tulla. Antti oli selvännäkijä, osasi löytää varkaita. Henki hänelle tavaroiden kätköpaikat paljasti, toisinaan sen varkaankin merkitsi. Siinä merkitsemisessä saattoi varkaan henkikin lähteä. Oikeus totesi Antin lopulta vuonna 1643 noidaksi liian monen häneen yhdistetyn kuoleman vuoksi. Varmuuden vuoksi ensin hirttivät, sitten polttivat miekkosen. Jätti Antti kuitenkin jälkensä maailmaan: Ei ole Valkeisen järvessä kuulemma haukia sen jälkeen ollut, kun Antti kerran sai ruodon kurkkuunsa ja kirosi sen siliän kaikki järven hauet.
Itsellä ei Keuruulla ruoto kurkkuun tänään jäänyt, mutta iskipä taas vaihteeksi tukehtumisen tunne. Ei mene ilma sisään, ulos päin sitä kyllä saa pihisemään. Ei aivan totaalisalpautuminen onneksi, mutta riittävän pelottavaa silti. Äänihuulisalpaukseksi ovat terveydenhuollon viisaat tällaisen määritelleet. Pari kolme kertaa vuodessa moinen riesa kohdalle osuu ja tänään juuri ennen pizzalle menoa se päätti yllättää. Jos on itsellä pienimuotoinen paniikki päällä tuossa tilanteessa, ei varmaan vieressä olijallakaan kovin levollinen olo ole. Autoa siinä parkkeerasi parhaillaan ja yritti tyynenä kysellä, voiko jotain tehdä. Sepä, ei oikein voi, mutta ei vastaamaankaan kunnolla kykene. Onneksi laukesi sukkelaan tuo tilanne, hengissä edelleen ja päästiin syömään.

#Noita fever wore off and I took too long of a break from #eldenring, so I need a new game to be autistic about. I tried #dmc5 because I love fast-paced action and funny writing, but it hasn't hooked me yet. The only thing I can really get myself to play right now is #celeste, but that's mostly to prove that I can actually beat it after criticizing the difficulty so much.
I think I want something atmospheric, but I don't know what to pick that I haven't played already. Suggestions?
