That's it. Judging from RTING's scoring, the Sennheiser HD 630s seem to perform worse than the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 in all objective categories:

- “Audio Reproduction Accuracy”: 8.0 vs 8.1.

- “Noise Isolation”: 8.7 vs 9.3.

- “Frequency Response Consistency”: 4.5 vs 6.8.

There’s only so much that “audiophile” hype can do, after all. Guess I only need to buy a bluetooth DAC AMP such as the Qudelix 5K to achieve a truly good audio experience with the Bose and my iPhone 14 Pro Max (pre-eq included in the Qudelix app).

I think my noise-cancelling headphones might be on the way out. They're Sony ones, with all the irritating gesture controls that never work properly, requiring a proprietary mobile app to disable. There's a special circle of hell prepared for whoever thought that was a good idea, but I digress.

They just started making a piercing, high-pitches noise. I turned them off and on, but it immediately started up again 😬

Can anyone recommend good replacement headphones?
