The grass smothering has begun! Hopefully I'll remember to check the area in a month or so to assess progress before recovering. At this time next year, there will either be vegetables or a mini-meadow, fingers crossed. Patience is hard, but we're in this house for the long haul, so there is time to do things the slow but effective way.

The pigs of my frieds were I garden ran away first. After the second bucket with parsnips they awaited me with anticipation.

Die Sache mit der Pappe ist dabei auch, aber nur zum Anfang und auf Grassnarbe ein vertretbares Mittel, um mit #NoDig anzufangen. Wer Flächen/Bewuchs hat, die genug Schnittgut abwerfen, kann dicklagig aufgebracht, sogar auf die Pappe verzichten. Die Fläche ist unter Umständen dann etwas kleiner und nicht rechteckig. die Verwendung der Bretter als Wege ist auch Verdichtung vermeidend.
Generell geht es aber nirgendwo ohne #Wasser. -

Wenn die Methode konsequent angewendet wird, auch ohne auf Kunststoffen basierende Hilfsmittel zurückzugreifen, dann dauert manches vielleicht etwas länger, aber es wird gut!
Mechanisierung wird schwieriger.
Aber der durch #Fossilismus kraftstoffintensive und zukraftbetonte Ackerbau könnte ad acta gelegt werden.
Das ist auch #SolarPunk , nur die zweite Seite der wichtigen Entwicklung.
