The #powerBallad has been recorded by over 180 artists, and versions released as singles by #HarryNilsson (1971) and #MariahCarey (1994) became international number one hits. The Nilsson version was included in 2021's Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. #PaulMcCartney once described it as "the killer song of all time".
