Zero Discrimination Day
Today is United Nations Zero Discrimination Day. Whilst far-right parties and fascist movements are gaining more and more support, it's more essential than ever to remind ourselves what it means to live in the divided society that these movements want to build. A society of inequality and oppression, with privileges for the few. Despite what many seem to think, it affects all of us. Maybe not in the same way, but history has shown that the oppression of one group is just the beginning.
This is why today, and every day, we stand for a society that is granting basic human rights for everyone. Where no one gets discriminated against, be it by gender, skin colour, religion, or whatever. Where no one has to live under the constant oppression of an economy that is built upon exploitation. For the right to live a life free of fear and to be able to be yourself!
Zero discrimination starts with all of us. So let's fight for it wherever it appears!
