Demo against deportation of Iraq anarchist

Metrostation Meijersplein, Rotterdam, vrijdag 30 januari om 20:00 CET

Tonight (Friday) 30th, 8:00 p.m., Metro Station Meijersplein, Rotterdam

The cops arrested a comrade this week and brought them to the deportation center in Rotterdam. Our friend, a queer anarchist from Iraq, will be deported to Germany, after which Germany will deport them to Turkey or Iraq. Our comrade fears for their life in Iraq.

Tonight we want to show our solidarity and let our comrade and other inmates know thet weren't forgotten. In times of xenofobia and racism, the sideline belongs to the accoplices. Don't bail out on your comrades, come to the demo and take your friends too!

Wij roepen iedereen op om dit najaar van koers te veranderen. Een migrant is geen 'probleem', maar een mens met rechten en hoop. Islamofobie en racisme mogen nooit de basis vormen van beleid. De deportatiemachine moet gesaboteerd worden en dat gaat alleen als we ons massaal uitspreken voor een beleid dat uitgaat van gastvrijheid, niet van vijandigheid.

It was a great day in the No Border Camp. We had some interesting workshops, including a great one from @trans_rescue. Later in the afternoon we went to Kamp Zeist, a detention center for families (and also the nearby asylum seeker center).

Eduard is sinds 12 juli in hongerstaking om aandacht te vragen voor het inhumane asielbeleid waardoor asielgezinnen worden uitzet met kinderen die langer dan vijf jaar in Nederland wonen.
