We invite you for delicious Küfa and film screening of THIS JUNGO LIFE, in order to raise money for a friend who is affected by the current and ongoing crackdown on LGBTQ persons in Senegal and the Gambia.
THIS JUNGO LIFE (2024, Morocco, 78min.) is a collaboration between filmmaker David Fedele, and a group of young refugees and asylum seekers from Sudan and South Sudan, who are living outside of Rabat by the sea.
“Jungo" is a name traditionally given to seasonal agricultural workers from Sudan, which is now also adopted by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants on the road.
Filmed entirely on phones, the film documents the lesser seen everyday impact of EU border externalization policies.

Wir laden euch zu köstlichem Küfa und einer Filmvorführung von „THIS JUNGO LIFE“ ein, um Geld für einen Freund zu sammeln, der von den aktuellen und anhaltenden Repressionen gegen LGBTQ-Personen im Senegal und in Gambia betroffen ist.
„THIS JUNGO LIFE“ (2024, Marokko, 78 Min.) ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Filmemacher David Fedele und einer Gruppe junger Flüchtlinge und Asylsuchender aus dem Sudan und dem Südsudan, die außerhalb von Rabat am Meer leben.
„Jungo“ ist eine Bezeichnung, die traditionell saisonalen Landarbeitern aus dem Sudan gegeben wird und die mittlerweile auch von Flüchtlingen, Asylsuchenden und Migranten auf der Flucht übernommen wurde.
Der vollständig mit Handys gedrehte Film dokumentiert die weniger sichtbaren alltäglichen Auswirkungen der EU-Politik der Externalisierung der Grenzen.

Civilian sea rescue is not a crime!
Information event with Sea-WatchCivilian sea rescue is facing constant repression and criminalisation of refugees, potential repression against crew members, ship detentions and increasingly concrete plans by Italy to make its ports inaccessible to rescue vessels.
The Italian Piantedosi Decree, the tightening of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) and calls for a ‘naval blockade’ are intended to make rescue operations more difficult and render them impossible.
The persecution and firing upon of civilian sea rescue vessels and the people on board by the so-called Libyan coastguard – most recently targeting the Sea-Watch 5 in May 2026 – represent a new level of violence.

Zivile Seenotrettung is not a crime!
Info-Veranstaltung mit Sea-WatchDie zivile Seenotrettung sieht sich konfrontiert mit stetiger Repression und Kriminalisierung gegen Geflüchtete, potentielle Repression gegen Crewmitglieder*innen, Schiffsfestsetzungen und immer konkreter werdenden Plänen Italiens Häfen unanfahrbar für Rettungsschiffe zu machen.
Durch das italienische Piantedosi-Dekret, die Verschärfung des Gemeinsamen Europäischen Asylsystems (GEAS) und Forderungen nach einer „navalen Blockade“ sollen die Bedingungen für Einsätze erschwert und Rettungen verunmöglicht werden.
Ein neues Level der Gewalt stellen die Verfolgung und der Beschuss von zivilen Seenotrettungsschiffen und der an Bord befindlichen Menschen durch die sogenannte libysche Küstenwache dar - zuletzt auf die Sea-Watch 5 im Mai 2026.

On the 4th of July we gather to party together - and to fight back.
This night is about raising funds for the legal support of our refugee comrade in his fight for the right to stay in Germany.
Refugee comrades are being harassed, arrested and deported.
Solidarity is our response to the racist asylum politic and to the new GEAS reform.
We are turning up the volume, not to forget or to disract, but to support.
All proceeds go directly to the legal defense of our comrade.

In der Nacht des 4. Juli lasst uns zusammenkommen, um gemeinsam zu feiern – und uns zu widersetzen.
Diese Nacht soll dazu dienen, Geld für die legale Unterstützung unseres geflüchteten Genossen in seinem Kampf um das Bleiberecht zu sammeln.
Geflüchtete Genoss*innen werden schikaniert, verhaftet und abgeschoben.
Solidarität ist unsere Antwort auf die rassistische Asylpolitik, welche kürzlich durch die GEAS-Reform noch verschärft wurde.
Wir drehen die Lautstärke auf, nicht zur Ablenkung und nicht um zu vergessen, sondern um solidarisch zu sein.
Alle Einnahmen gehen direkt an die rechtliche Verteidigung unseres Genossen.
