Quite how they take a beer that’s usually 5.6% and produce a 0.0 version, I don’t know. It’s not as chewy as the original, and it’s fizzier…. But actually, for an NA beer, this is bloody good. Notes of banana and maybe cherry. Not bad at all.

Das Buch "Ohne Alkohol: Die beste Entscheidung meines Lebens: Erkenntnisse, die ich gern früher gehabt hätte" von Nathalie Stüben hat mich dazu gebracht, bzw. in mir ein Umdenken angestoßen. Ich habe davon aber lediglich die Zusammenfassung auf blinkist angehört.

Been making tea from Lemon Balm/Melissa leaves and chilling it in the fridge in old-style bottles. It’s amazing, and the lemongrassy zing makes it such a good mixing drink with anything else.

A friend of mine brought me a "Thank You" gift for a favour I gave them.
In the past, these gifts tended to be:
- Chocolate
yay, but I really want to lose body-fat
- sparkling, red or white wine
I stopped drinking in October, and usually these bottles tended to go round and round anyway
- Flowers
I don't particularly care for them

But this time I got a pack of juice from a higher-priced vendor and... I really really appreciate that!
I could get used to this.

I just had two posts #censored from mastodon.social. I will never know the real reason, but both were just the longest possible sequence of tags, to reach and be visible to a large audience. I suspect what ticked the hammer off were tags referring to "prohibited" substances. namely #thc #weed #marijuana #LSD #acid #tryptamine #hallucinogenic. the posts were deleted without informing me even though I was also using tags such as "moderation" and "noalcohol" in the same post. why is it forbidden to talk positively about these blissful compounds that nature gifts us, while hyperconsumption of #alcohol, #nicotine and #coffee is normalized and even encouraged, and the elite is allowed to indulge unquestioned, including #public #officials?

I quit drinking #alcohol permanently at the start of the year but I miss the wide variety that came with alcohol consumption so I'm on a mission to find excellent options to replace previous drinking habits. There's plenty of options for #LowAlcoholBeer and cider is improving. Most #LowAlcohol or #NoAlcohol wine is poor except the sparking stuff. But I love #cocktails so I have started to create some recipes that have similar flavour profiles to some of the classics. Any interest?

However, mornings I’ve been enjoying my friend Scott’s “Latteccino” #recipe**, including 1/8 oz. of #Cointreau and 1/2 oz. of #Baileys. Wanting the #flavor, but #NoAlcohol there too, I was delighted to discover that orange #sugar is an apt substitute for the Cointreau. Now for a Bailey’s #substitute…?
