Sideboard update! Dry fit. The doors need trimmed which could be tricky and I am all out of this veneer so if I make another mistake I will need to make a whole new carcass. I have learned *so much* along the way that this isn’t as bad as it sounds. If I had veneered both sides of everything before I started assembling I would have a more accurate finish on all of it. #WoodWorking #Miniatures #No52 #DollsHouse 1/3

Update on the jig to cut a circle. Now to drill a hole. And try it!! I will need to use the router to cut circles without a central hole - but that is on pause as I have ordered upcut bits and need to wait for them to arrive. #No52 #DollsHouse #Miniatures

Sideboard Update. Tiny problem with the levels - which I am fixing with tiny piece of veneer as packing. Not showing you a photo as my hope is it won’t show at all when I am finished. I have also made a veneer sandwich following @Maker_of_Things ‘s recipe. It is super strong and very flat. Pleased with this. Now to cut out the aperture for my mirrored cupboard so that the edges of the plywood don’t show when the door is opened. #No52 #minature #WoodWorking

Sideboard Update: the finished carcass. A couple of learning points for me cutting small pieces of glass is still a challenge! Getting the mirror and the glass shelf clean of excess glue has been seriously difficult … but all in all I am pleased with this so far. #No52 #Sideboard #DollsHouse

Thinking of a new #MiniQuilt project… what do we think of a log cabin? She suggests looking out 60 fabric scraps - 30 of each contrast. I’m feeling her colourways are a bit too strong for my #DollsHouse. If I did white/green it would go in the master bedroom… or white/pink… hmm 🤔 That’s going to keep me amused for starters! #No52 #quilting #HandSewing

Progress report.
I still haven’t had the courage to glue this together but the pieces are coming along. Even then, I can’t glue in the Fimo until the wood is finished properly. I made a second larger oval and glued it round the first to make beading. I’m also not sure if I can improve the tiny variation in the outside edges of my rows of tiles. Using 3000 wet/dry sand paper but I think once it is all mounted no one will even notice it. 🤞#DollsHouse #No52 #Fireplace #ArtsAndCrafts

Well, this is fiddly. Tiles can be trimmed and sanded, but a modicum of regularity might be nice! The ruler is straight, and so is the knife but the resulting tiles are a bit too wonky at the moment. I can keep trimming and moving as often as I like until it is baked. Done for today. Beginning to do my head in. #hearth #No52 #DollsHouse #WIP

I finished my #RoomBox. It is a one twelfth scale hallway. I knitted the shawl, made the coat, scarf, hat and gloves and made the box. I wired the light using a Christmas light. This was to provide a scene for the furniture which was rescued for me by @suearcher from a charity sale. #Miniatures #No52
