Visual Novel. I have been tempted, but it's too much work and expensive unless you can do all the jobs.

#WritersCoffeeClub May 3: Do you write your works localized to the setting or to your background? How do you decide?
I suppose I localize it to the setting. Too much, I am told. I don't write in Japanese, Greek, or Medieval French, but try to keep the language and words true to the culture and time, with many borrowed words.
The narrative is in English with a mix of American and British pronunciations and spelling. I have been surprised by how often I tend to use British word forms.

I don't remember doing this, but I must have. That's just editing.
Most likely changing what one character chose to say from something witty to something in character or from something that comes off unlikable to something likeable.

- All my novels could be classified as #UrbanFantasy and/or #HistoricalFantasy. So, yes, magic is present as a force hidden from most people. An alien landscape filled with actors whose motives are not human and often contrary to human desires.

- Smoking is far more restrictive in Japan than my early novels would indicate.
- Cotton is a luxury material in the Tang, Song, and Heian eras. Linen is for the poor. Opps.
