🎉 We're excited to share that our latest paper, “Syn–Anti Conformational Equilibrium of Indomethacin: A Combined NOESY and Quantum Chemical Study,” has been published in Pharmaceutical Research.
This work was carried out as part of Alexey Kovalev’s PhD research in collaboration with our colleagues Prof. Savaş Kaya (Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Türkiye) and Dr. Yoshio Barrera (UNAM, Mexico).

Not groundbreaking, but the work in this paper enabled the interesting polymer degradation studies my students & I are doing now. As you can see from the author list, many many people contributed over the years. I count 6 who have finished or are pursuing PhDs plus others involved in other areas of science. Greyson is sole 1st author because he got obsessed with NMR, did all the final fiddly bits, & wrote the 2D analysis. #NMR #iScience #chemistry #PUI #proflife #ProudPI https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589004226005651

Dumb NMR question. Why don't we see splitting from 35Cl or 37Cl in the solvent signal when we run either 1H or 13C NMR? Is it being decoupled as with {1H}13C or does it have something to do with the gyromagnetic ratio or???? #NMR #coupling #decoupling #spectroscopy #chemistry #chemchat #help

We’ve published our latest research on the conformational evolution of bicalutamide in chloroform using NMR spectroscopy. Associative equilibrium shifts drive conformational transitions, not the presence of a solid phase.
This work offers new insights into conformational polymorphism and the role of solvation and concentration in controlling molecular structure.

A student misspelled a compound name when acquiring an NMR spectrum. I can rename the parent file, but the typo is present throughout the file (.jdf). Does anyone know how to correct that? When I try opening in a text editor and resaving, the document is no longer recognized by MNova. #NMR #data #file
