And that's a wrap! Finish of the #NMM2024 with a visit to DTU's brand new hybrid power plant, combining #Solar + #Wind + battery technology to power the campus and to test different #Renewables + grid management strategies. Very impressive. The next NMM is in 2 years in the Faroe Islands!

The planned wind farm expansion in the North Sea is absolutely massive.

I used to have this photo of wind farm wakes picked out by fog at Horns Rev as my SoMe header. I didn't know there was a paper about it.

Third and final day of #NMM2024 (you will be relieved to hear the live posting will end sometime around lunch today).

In this nomadic meeting we are today visiting the functionality architecture of DTU Wind at its beautiful Risø Campus by Roskilde fjord.

There have been quite a few talks at #NMM2024 on #ML + #AI, which makes me feel like a complete dinosaur. Luckily, Thea Qvistgaard of Aarhus University Risø is here to give us a crash course in the basics of machine learning and neural networks.

Apparently a well known phenomen.

I can't think of one. But this was a great overview of the latest planned missions and some very cool results by Vesa Nietosvaara.
