Per campaign finance reports, outside groups spent roughly $4.4 million against Gabriel Vasquez in #NM02 and $489,963 in support of his candidacy.

Biggest spender against Vasaquez was the Congressional Leadership Fund, which accounted for about $2.2 million of that spending. #nmpol

Republicans cited the defeat of U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell of #NM02 as the biggest blow of the midterms. They blamed the loss on how the Democratic-led Legislature refashioned the congressional maps in a way that divided Chaves County among each of the three districts. #nmpol
