Just found this thing here #Nitrokey #NitroPhone kinda would be interested what the @GrapheneOS people think about all of the security claims.
On that note it also would be interesting to have a list with all of the phones that were once considered and then disregarded for one reason or another from them too...
(The hardware is a Google Pixel 9a with the option to have some sensors physically removed and custom software)

Aktuell will Google ja einschneidende Veränderungen betreffs App Entwicklern und alternativen #AppStores einleiten. Welche Auswirkungen hat das auf die künftige Nutzbarkeit von Geräten außerhalb der GoogleWelt? Sind #GrapheneOS etc damit am Ende für den Normalbürger weil er keine oder kaum noch Apps bekommt?

Es wird zwar noch viele Monate dauern, aber ich bereite mich auf ein neues #smartphone vor. Bisher ging es mir meist um Bequemlichkeit sowie günstigen Preis, ich hab wenig auf specs geachtet, aber ich will die Hoheit über meine Daten zurück... Mist, zu spät 😉
Was würdet ihr unter Berücksichtigung gestiegener Anforderungen an #privacy und #itsecurity auswählen?

Alternatively, one could support a better vendor directly. E.g.:

⚠️ PSA: aside from the marketing claims, "#NitroPhone"s, are probably Google Pixels re-flashed with GrapheneOS and sold at a premium.
Points expressed in the announcement do not differ from other refurbished models, and the "4.5 years" of support are just as provided by Google.

@Fairphone and @nitrokey: what about making a privacy friendly fair phone? Doesn't need to be high performance, a bugdet version for daily use for about 200 EUR would be great.
