Me: It smells like someone in middle #management wants a #dashboard that will let them #nitpick their way into the good graces of their superiors by finding and bothering people who are out of #compliance on work tracking #minutiae. Of course us worker bees don't actually know where the #goalposts are, so I'll assume that they shift arbitrarily.

There's a figurative "rewriting history" which someone can actually attempt. There's no figurative "trying" to make literal.

How Musk likes to see himself: the Master of Master Blaster. He would do well to remember how this character met his end.
Musk has indicated on X that he thinks he's ready for a post-apocalyptic world, showing a picture of Max next to his car in Mad Max 2. This is much closer to how he would survive. Riding on the back of useful idiots while living in a world of darkness and shit.
Edit: Sorry, I wasn't happy with the helmet's shadow on Trump's face - or rather, the lack of one. #Nitpick

I like putting on instrumental music videos on YT as background, but I’ve found that the majority of them loop too quickly. My brain instantly picks up on this even though I’m not really paying attention, and it’s annoying. 😐 #complaint #nitpick

Is anyone else bothered when people say the incorrect #timezone though it's obvious what they mean?
For example, "PST" (Pacific Standard Time) when it's currently "PDT" (Pacific Daylight savings Time).

Pleasantly surprised by Orion and the Dark in Netflix. Had no idea going into it that it was written by Charlie Kaufman. Love that the kid wanted Infinite Jest for a bedtime story. Unfortunately, the permission slip for the planetarium indicated that the action takes place in 1995. Infinite Jest was published in 1996. #InfiniteJest #OrionAndTheDark #NitPick

I seem to be past my list management problems on Mastodon \o/
But I'd like to see a "done" button to make the UI clearer on the web interface. Instead I just... click somewhere else. Also those gray-on-gray icons and the low-contrast scroll bar are too subtle for my tastes. #nitpick

I believe that "Write Freely" should also be written as WriteFreely, though I must say that while I primarily saw WriteFreely on @writefreely's site, I also saw several occurrences of "write freely" (and their Fediverse account seems to be named "Write Freely"), so perhaps #WriteFreely has no preferred spelling. :)Also, if I want to #nitpick, it should probably also be "diaspora*" in lowercase and with the trailing asterisk instead of #Diaspora.

@NHonigdachs Many of the measures are "Security-related" but a host firewall doesn't protect your secrets very well. Installing the latest patches seems like the better idea. And configuring a firewall needs some understanding and is error prone. If I don't trust a software enough to make it reachable over the network, I shouldn't install it.
And my usual #NitPick: Security in itself does not mean anything. It's the unlikelihood of a threat that is to be defined. #ThreatModeling
