  2. Was just in a meeting about the future of #JATS and #BITS and #STS #NISO standard was of representing and interchanging journal articles (mainly #STEM) and books between authors, publishers, feeds, platforms, systems.

    This is a complex ecosystem with a lot of very necessary and carefully managed metadata, and the #XML markup is a huge win for them.
