Mrrrow i just ran into an issue with niri that i haven't figured out how to fix yet. I wanted to watch a stream while playing minecraft, and i don't have a second monitor. So i was using the firefox picture-in-picture thingy to watch it while i was playing. But it keeps sorta stealing mouse focus away from minecraft whenever my invisible cursor goes over the floating window ​:neofox_sob:​ Does anyone know how i can fix that?

Now #zirconium is installed on a laptop. And using the track pad gestures, it's a joy to navigate between the windows in #niriwm .

Testing #niriwm via #zirconium in a VM. So far I like it. I will perhaps install it on one laptop for a more thorough test 🤔

I tried out Noctalia (a desktop quickshell) in Niri WM. All this times I was using no status bar, but I thought why not see something that works OOTH.

Boy-o-boy, just `nix run` and noctalia gave me what I wanted which just made sense OOTH (just like niriWM did)

Have been giving #niriwm, #waybar and #kanshi a try on my private laptop. Really pleasant experience. Only serious SNAFU was having to redefine all key-bind to work with on a #Danish keyboard.

Automatically handling displays with Kanshi saves me having to disable the laptop screen when sitting at my desk. Will have to try if it also works with #Gnome

Has anyone been able to get #Hyprland or #Niri / #NiriWM to work in an #AlpineLinux #virt-manager (#libvirt) #vm? Trying to launch Hyprland throws "failed to mkdir crash report directory".

@koopa #riverwm is perfect.

If you miss the look of hyprland (rounder corners, gradient borders and custom animations), #niriwm #niri is also very good. I'm not enamored with the horizontal scrolling mantra but it's interesting.
