#Finland has opened two checkpoints on the border with #Russia - #Vaalimaa and #Niirala. The decision is valid until January 14. If new problems with migrants begin, the checkpoint will be closed again.

#Finland will reopen two border crossings to #Russia on Thursday. The border crossings #Vaalimaa and #Niirala are located in the southern part of the country.

The rest of the border crossings will remain closed until January 14th. This was announced by the Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.

🧵 #Finland will close 4 border crossing points (#Vaalimaa, #Nuijamaa, #Niirala and #Imatra) on the eastern border with #Russia, starting from the night before Saturday. The restrictions are valid until February 18, 2024.

The restrictions are due to #Russia sending or planning to send immigrant flows towards Finland.
