Edmunds Marsh, Washington State, is a 22.5-acre (9-hectare) urban wetland. While I was there taking pictures, I ran into a reclamation crew removing invasive Wizards Nightshade (Circaea lutetiana). We had a long talk about the stream ecosystem there. Apparently, if it isn't cleared out, the area turns into a bog. He pointed to huge hedges of the plant smothering other plants further in, but in an area where he wasn't allowed to go.

Did a bunch of sketching tonight, including my first Nightshade fan art. My boi Kuroyuki, the softest yandere. :hearthands:

(Could also count as an illo from my fan fic, if I could finish it a little more… :3 )

I ran out of spoons when it came to drawing his kimono & hakama, apologies. :lies_down: Maybe when I've rested a bit I can come back to it…

I made a thing. with these 2 wee hands.
I took a small, (A6 ish), foil print I made a few years ago of nightshade's loading screen. Then using a little bit of scrap wood I had laying around, did some cutting , some sanding and made a 'hanging map' styled frame for it.

just the thing to hang from the teeth of a lurking mimic.
