@Taweret @apLundell the film makes it pretty clear you need to be in a metal box
i might suggest that you need to be in something akin to a faraday cage (see also the lightning and thunder effects in the beginning) though even within the film that doesn't make a whole lot of sense
if it was just any closed room you'd have a lot more survivors and/or a lot more zombies, like, people who slept through it in their bedrooms

the only thing i really know about license plate making is that if you go back far enough in washington state you had to make your own
the local license centre in my old neighbourhood had a bunch from that era, they were all over the place in design and structure and some of them were very cool
