  4. Introducing the BUSY Bar: because nothing screams #productivity like a glorified LED #nightlight with more buzzwords than features! 😂🔌 With endless "open source" nonsense, it’s perfect for those who want to pretend they're working while actually just tinkering with #APIs. Honestly, who needs focus when you can spend hours customizing a #gadget to say "I'm busy"? 🙄📉

  6. NVIDIA Linux Driver Now Supports Night Light Feature in GNOME

    NVIDIA has released a new driver for Linux that adds support for the Night Light feature in GNOME. Night Light is a feature that reduces the amount of blue light emitted from your display, which can (studies show) help to improve sleep quality, and reduce eye fatigue. It’s available out-of-the-box in all Linux distributions which use GNOME (including Ubuntu), and accessed from the Settings app. The Linux x64 NVIDIA Display Driver 545.29.02 release notes mention various Wayland-related improvements (and much needed they are too, from what I hear) including support for virtual reality displays, support for running in XWayland, and a :sys_more_orange:

  7. Got around to finishing off my 'new' version of my night light lamp using an Aldi hot chocolate tub.
    The new version uses low voltage #LED tape.
    I did not use a resistor as the tape is rated 4.5v which is above the 3.5-4.2v the lithium cells will put into it.
    I did make a slight error in my commentary. The USB connector on the charging board is micro USB and not mini USB as I stated.

    @arunisaac
    I did try #nightlight. It is quite nice. Everything is available as a tab in the browser via the #leiningen plugin. It supports #clojure, #html, #javascript (AFAIK).

    It is very easy for me to teach new people using this. I can just let everyone connect to it on LAN.

    Thanks for showing this.

  10. Today, I installed #PureOS for the first time. They only release a 64-bit version that follows the #GNU #FSDG (Free System Distribution Guidelines) so I've been waiting to own a 64-bit PC that doesn't need any proprietary blobs. Overall, the install experience was good, although IMHO the "password" advice is well out-of-date. There are a number of features I like, that the default Trisquel desktop doesn't have, like the #NightLight feature. I've been looking for something like that for a while.
