At today's #miniaturePainting night at @jungundaltspielt I just did a little something on the #nighthaunt ghost thingies (I won't even try to remember those stupid GeeDub names 😝), namely a drybrush on the base and wash on the metal parts.
The rest of the evening was assembling more of the spearhead box and nice talking with a fellow painter.
There might even be some relaxed #OnePageRules #GrimdarkFutureFirefight games upcoming soon 🙂 guess I should paint some of my #tau / #daoUnion

@erikcats I'm not really completely happy about how the "ghost juice" turned out, but I'm only aiming for a "good enough for the table" standard and I guess they fulfill that.
Next: a quick & dirty drybrush, repainting the bases + give the metal some color

I also started on Miss Himfarothwen (yes I named her already - or more precisely gave her the name of an old LOTRO char of mine).

Building this Coven Throne has been a deeply unpleasant experience.

So many fiddly bits, complicated multi-part joins at the same time and the instructions are old and lacking in important detail.

I stopped here at the choice point between Mortis Engine and Coven Throne for a break and now I’m struggling to motivate myself to finish it off.

So I started trying #OnePageRules #AgeOfFantasyQuest this week and noticed I would need more enemy models and don't have many for fantasy.
And of course I want something to get on the table quickly
Looking around, I found the #warhammer #ageOfSigmar #Nighthaunt ghosts and think they might qualify well.

And I don't know how it happened, but some character models also fell into the shopping cart 🫣

My first painted Age of Sigmar army! The Nighthaunt Vanguard box, getting ready for the Spearhead game mode. Heavily inspired by the grieving legion theme, but with some brighter colors. My wife mentioned that it puts off a Scooby-Doo vibe and I'm ok with that.
