  1. lot of people seem to think the #Epstein suicide note made public yesterday is fake because [[reasons]. i haven't yet heard a [reason] that has convinced me, but if you have leave a comment.

ended up collecting a formal-ish list of reasons to believe (or disbelieve) Epstein wrote the note: threadreaderapp.com/thread/205

less importantly, speaking subjectively as someone who has read enough of Jeffrey #Epstein's mail to have a good sense of the man's authorial style, the note reads to me like it was written by the same guy that wrote all of Epstein's emails.

there's some caveats to that claim (see link) but tl;dr i basically believe epstein wrote the note. i am less certain but also believe that he actually planned to kill himself when he wrote it.

what i find troubling about the note isn't the possibility that epstein didn't write it but instead it's the fact that it was "found" between the pages of a book belonging to contract killer and dirty cop extraordinaire Nick #Tartaglione AKA "Epstein's cellmate the first time he tried to kill himself".

if you were looking to cast a character in a conspiracy involving organized crime groups worked with corrupt #NYPD and #BOP officials to somehow make things happen inside Epstein's jail cell Tartaglione would be *exactly* that kind of guy. like you could not find a guy in that facility with deeper ties both to various mafias as well as a network of corrupt law enforcement and other #NYC govt officials.
