@caffeinatedgeek @buffaloseven @mike @tedzanzibar As an Oilers fan who is also a Skinner fan it was beyond frustrating how the goalies got blamed for losing SCFs in 2024 and 2025, and a poor November 2025. Goalies were not “the problem.” But all five paid for it in 2025-26. Glad to see Skinner back in Canada. I wish him well with the Jets. If they make to the playoffs, the guy has an amazing clutch record (WIN% in Games 4,5,6,7 notwithstanding the 2024 Game 7 and 2025 Game 6, which losses were not on him).

A poem for the hap happiest season of all... Hockey season

Twas the night before something
and all through the rink
Not a wrister was wicked
and no hockey glove stink.

Way up in the rafters
Stanley Cup banners fly
but a day without hockey
Could make anyone cry

There is always tomorrow
and the trade deadline soon
with my team in contention
will they still be in June

On scorers, on goalies,
and of course the defense.
On penalty killers,
when the onslaught's intense.

So, on this day enjoy family
and colorful lights
but tomorrow more action
and maybe even some fights
