The original game had fighting removed at the request of the #NHL. I've waited three decades for this! -
Some crazy kids have tweaked the #NHL94 ROM (Genesis/MegaDrive) and given it a fresh coat of paint, some QoL improvements and updated team branding and updated rosters.

My next game might be #NHL24. Normally I have no interest in sports games, but this game will be a trip down memory lane. 30 years ago (omg!) I put a big chunk of my childhood into #NHL94. It’s amazing how different the structure of #NHL94 and #NHL22. Newer NHL games are laser focused on recreating the experience of *watching* #hockey on TV. Even to the point of frequently employing viewing angles that are accurate to the TV viewing experience but make playing the game harder.
I find myself having to make significantly more blind passes in 22 than in 94.
