These are times in the #workshops when staff and volunteers are available to help with everything from project advice to training on equipment. These are free to members and students in ongoing related programs. $10 suggested donation for public access."

Attending my first ever public-facing author event today! 🤩 📚

I'm excited and terrified, and everything in between. I know it'll probably go well, so I just have to keep thinking that. Manifest destiny, and all that.

"Event Description:

Join Matt Burke for this fun journey into making personalized pieces with our laser cutter.

Students will start in our #woodshop, learning how to prepare a pre-cut board or live edge slab from a selection of options. Pieces will be cut to size and ready to finish plane, sand and prepare for laser engraving.

Students will then take their prepared board to our #LaserCutter and learn how to engrave a family recipe on the surface.

To make sure we have enough time to complete your projects in class, please submit your recipe ahead so MAXT staff can pre-process your laser cut file."

"What do you do with a broken toaster? Or with a bike when the wheel runs out of alignment? Or with a sweater full of moth holes? MAxT is organizing New Hampshire's first Repair Cafe on the 2nd Saturday of each month to help you fix what's broken.

Our volunteer repair experts will be available to help you make all possible repairs. Tools and materials will also be on hand. You can bring your broken items from home. Repair stations will include small electronics, clothing, bikes, furniture, toys and jewelry - anything that is broken is welcome and more than likely can be repaired!

By promoting repairs, MAxT MAkerspace wants to help reduce mountains of waste, put neighbors in touch with each other in a new way and discover that a lot of know-how and practical skills can be found close to home.

The event is free but donations to the repair cafe are encouraged to keep this event going."
