The Crescent Nebula (NGC6888) is a cosmic bubble about 25 light-years across, in the constellation Cygnus, blown by winds from its central massive Wolf-Rayet star (WR136).
This image was captured on July 26 & 28 under quite bad sky conditions; low transparency due to smoke from wild fires in the West combined with Moon illumination.

NGC 6888: The Crescent Nebula
The Crescent Nebula, which to me looks more like a giant space brain than a crescent.

#SkyWatch #Astrophotography The #CrescentNebula aka #NGC6888 is an emission nebula in the #Cygnus constellation about 5000 light years from Earth. It is caused by the fast-moving stellar winds from the star WR136 colliding with and energizing the slower moving wind ejected by the star 250,000 years ago when it became a red giant. This image is 50 minutes (10x300 seconds) of exposure captured with my 250mm lens and ASI533mc pro camera. #StillLearning

APOD: 2020 October 17 - Cygnus: Bubble and Crescent
https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap201017.html
These clouds of gas and dust drift through rich star fields along the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy toward the high flying constellation Cygnus. Caught within the telescopic field of view are the Soap Bubble (lower left) and the Crescent Nebula (upper right). Both were formed at a final phase in the life of a star. […]
