I read in an article about the robbery of the Czech news crew that LOCAL news crews now routinely hire armed guards to protect them but, as I recall, there was a guard who was guarding a crew in the East Bay who was shot & killed doing his job. So, that's not necessarily a solution to the "problem" either. 🤷♂️
