Listening to the recent release "Southern Nights" from Sullivan Fortner.

I don't often get excited about trio settings playing what might be deemed "straight-ahead" #Jazz these days, but this is a fantastic release. Fortner's playing is exceptional, and he continues to really develop as a pianist.

Great set of unexpected tunes, too, w/Clifford Brown, Woody Shaw, a number of other under-the-radar composers/tunes...

Really nice album all around.

Πάντα μου άρεσαν, αλλά μπορώ να πω ότι ποτέ δεν τους λάτρεψα παθιασμένα, και πολύ θα ήθελα να κάνουν την υπέρβαση με αυτόν το δίσκο, διότι είναι τέρμα συμπαθητικά παιδάκια.
