https://codeberg.org/K3LOE/Amateur_Radio_Magazines
I made this list of current amateur radio magazines for my own benefit, so I thought I'd share and see if it's useful for others. This is primarily English language right now, so contributing other language magazines would be helpful.
If you have a Codeberg account, please make a pull request or open an issue. Otherwise, if you comment here I can add it.

@allianceradio I appreciate this sentiment and wish more people were talking about it with #NewHams.
This is one of those things where the well-meaning old guard is unconsciously doing damage. They want to use some transitive property where what they have fun doing is what you must have fun doing. I experienced it as judgement for not following the One True Path.
I am studying for my General now for community preparedness reasons, but I have been bored not one second with my Tech license.

Happy that https://k3loe.fyi is part of the #AmateurRadio #WebRing now! Thanks to @M0YNG for providing https://ring.fediverse.radio.
This is another reason why mastodon.radio feels like my online #HamRadio club.
Note to #NewHams who are not coders, I managed adding a key to my site easy enough with a micro.blog custom footer plugin.

I’ve skated on my one arborist bag throwing lesson from @beckett long enough.
I think I’m going to have to break down and watch some youtoob videos on technique. My willow oak humbled me today 😅
Recommendations, Mastodon.radio?

I’m at one year into #hamradio and today was the most meaningful day by far. I got to help dozens of elementary school students make “contacts” on the local RARS repeater.
Note that these girls, most of a minority racial or ethnic group, are having a lot of fun using communication technology. Throughout the day, the girls were consistently excited, curious, on task, overcoming anxiety to get on the air and just generally AMAZING!

This On the Air cover story for #NewHams is maddening. Maybe the cover shoot folly is self-evident. Here's an excerpt from the article that is worse than useless because it only raises fears without guidance:
"Ease of Programming: I find this to be a daunting issue for new hams. Modern transceivers offer both the ability to program via the radio's front panel and also through the use of programming software."
That's it about this daunting issue!!

Learned about the defunct Monitoring Times magazine recently. I really like Publisher Bob Grove’s All About Antennas collection. Lots of practical and specific advice useful for new hams. Like this, about operating inside and losses due to particular sources and materials. http://www.monitoringtimes.com/antennabook.pdf

I support hams who choose Technician as a terminal license though I’m hopeful the FCC just makes it a better credential by deletion.
An unofficial radio goal (I am racking them up) is to work the hell out of 10 meters as a Tech, at least while Solar Cycle 25 shines on.
I am having so much fun doing so that it is really unfun when I force myself to do General upgrade studying. It’s more tedious when you know what’s needed for operation instead of passing a test.

Ham radio is all about learning and experimenting, not about expensive gear or perfection. Let’s support newcomers, not discourage them! #HamRadio #NewHams #SupportNotGatekeeping
