I was at the #NewYears reception of our chamber of commerce and one of the local #Windpower developer has offered me 3 old “small” #windmills that will be taken down (for repowering with new taller ones) in 2027/28 for 1€. (And 150 solar panels)
He would also help with organizing and collecting money for the transport to #Ukraine.

Along the Kohala Coast, the 223-acre Puakō Petroglyph Archaelogical Preserve boasts more than 3,000 ancient petroglyphs, or kiʻi pōhaku, lava rock carvings etched into stone, dating back to 1200 AD. (source)

I started it a little late yesterday, so the New Years pot roast wasn't really ready until today. But it looks and tastes great!
Our wedding was right before New Years. Just after our first anniversary, we realized we had a lot of champagne left over from the previous year in our refrigerator, so we marinaded a brisket in champagne, chopped up lots of vegetables and our New Years traditional dish was born. 35 years later, I've switched to a leaner rump roast, and the fraction of vegetables is higher, but it's still a pot roast marinaded in champagne and wine left over from New Years Eve (we never finish a bottle, so I cook with it).
Traditions are nice, and you can just make them yourself.
