Following in the footsteps of Bosch and Will Trent, Prime Video is bringing the forensic crime thriller novels written by Patricia Cornwell to the small screen with the introduction of Scarpetta, starring Nicole Kidman in the title role of Kay Scarpetta.

Set against the backdrop of modern forensic investigation, the series delves beyond the crime scene to explore the psychological complexities of both perpetrators and investigators, creating a multi-layered thriller that examines the toll of pursuing justice at all costs.

“I’m beyond excited that this is finally happening,” said Cornwell. “This will be great fun for all, and I’m grateful for the immense talent that the show is drawing. I’ve always been a huge fan of [executive producers and stars] Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicole Kidman. Their wanting to do this is humbling and simply awesome.
