  1. High #estrogen levels in the #hippocampus at the time of exposure to multiple simultaneous stressors significantly increase vulnerability to persistent #memory impairments and heightened #fear responses, with a more pronounced effect in females

  2. 🎉 Ah, the art of "trip reporting" #estrogen like it's a psychedelic odyssey—because clearly hormones are the new LSD! 🙄 And kudos to the brave soul crediting their #neuroendocrinology "literature review" to someone named after a bird, because that totally screams 'scientific rigor.' 🦜✨

  3. I'm perpetually interested in #sex and #gender in the animal kingdom, and currently #sex-differences are part of my work. (This is partly personal—I am #queer and #GNC — and partly just that I'm fascinated by choices and decisions, and how we all cope with trade offs and restraints.)

I've worked on #leptin in the past and would like to revisit that, and I'm looking forward to hanging with my #neuroendocrinology friends at #SICB this winter.

  4. Hello everyone! Here's my #introduction! I am a senior lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, mostly teaching biomedical #ImageAnalysis and #DataScience ( #machinelearning #statistics and all that jazz) using #rstats and #python. My research interests revolve around #neuroendocrinology that is, understanding how your brain controls the production of hormones in your body. I am particularly interested in the role of #heterogeneity of cells in the #pituitary gland and how that contributes to generating the right pattern of hormones at the right time!
