Israeli media is gushing with excitement and anticipation every time a foreign dignitary arrives for a visit, as if their presence there legitimizes Israel’s actions. #Blinker will in fact also meet with Mahmoud Abbas as the main objective of the #USA, allegedly, is to guarantee the two-state solution option will not die following recent events, and not to express support of #Israel killing innocent civilians in #Gaza.
But listening to commentators on Israeli TV it’s not obvious. It would be ironic if #Nethanyhu’s failed strategy to sabotage a peace process with the Palestinians (Hamas != Palestinians) will lead to its revival, assuming the #Hamas would be destroyed somehow.

Not having to hear or see #Nethanyhu for the last couple of days was probably the best thing for him and for the Israelis. His proxies though are coming out from hiding. Listening to the Miki Zohar’s (מיקי זוהר), currently Minister of Culture and Sports, hot air, bravado and religious righteousness, Israelis might understand how bad it could be forced into a full blown war with the #Hamas, lead by the most incompetent government they’ve ever had. I’m pretty sure the Hamas took that into consideration when planing the attack.
