A few titles, including a few TV shows, are leaving Netflix in May 2023 — fortunately, you have at least a few days before they do!

i just realized netflix is using its data centre "chaos monkey" idea to the entire company - arbitrarily shoot down things that are working well, like password sharing and see if the company will survive the fallout. what doesn't kill it may make it stronger, or something.

LOL, not sure what to make of this... I'll likely tune in for an episode or two.

S4Ep20 + S4Ep21 of #STEnt are a two-part story about eugenists / xenophobes lead by a single-minded mad-man. Parallels to… oh, several points in history… are fairly clear.
★★★★☆ for both: they really zoomed past in a good way.
-
Because by this point, #STEnt was cancelled but allowed to complete the season, I suspect they decided to have as much fun as they could. S4Ep18 + S4Ep18 reflect that (forgive me) with a two-part ‘mirror universe’ story.
★★★★★
-
ORION SLAVE GIRLS!! •THREE• OF THEM!!
Every single male of around my age, prior to Leia Organa, had a wild fantasy about green skinned babes. S4Ep17 of #STEnt honours that.
★★★☆☆ for wit and taking the plot beyond merely a sight gag.
-
#STEnt completes an arc and another as well.
S4Ep14 sees the end to a powerful weapon.
S4Ep16 + S4Ep17 covers curing a rapid pandemic for Klingons, and curing a misbehaving warp engine by turning it off and on again!
All ★★★★☆
-
Two episodes of a 3-part #STEnt arc (it’s like all of Season 4 is 3-parters).
S4Ep12 + S4Ep13 are all about common causes, loss, and respect for everyone’s cultural formalities.
★★★★☆ for both.
-
Two episodes of #STEnt this evening.
S4Ep10 doesn’t work for some reason. Maybe it needed a bigger question like “if you could pull anyone back from death?” ★★☆☆☆
S4Ep11 is a bit better, examining the results of non-involvement. ★★★☆☆
-
Didn’t post this last evening owing to falling asleep watching, so went right to bed.
#STEnt S4Ep08 + S4Ep09 wrap-up a 3-parter quite well. The quality of story I’m — ironically — taking on faith due to not seeing the last 15 minutes or so. ★★★★☆
-
Back to #STEnt S4Ep05 where the Augments are led by their ‘father’ to find their unborn siblings. ★★★☆☆
S4Ep06 has mutiny among the ranks, leading to failure. ★★★★☆
S4Ep07 sees an Earth Embassy on Vulcan destroyed by terrorists. Or is it…? ★★★★☆
-
More of the final season of #STEnt.
S4Ep03 has Enterprise deal with troubles back at home. ★★★★☆
S4Ep04 has fine premise with sun-par cinematography, acting, and writing. Disappointing start to 3-part story arc. ★★★☆☆
-
Three episodes of #STEnterprise which qualify as ‘building stories.’
S3Ep05 is ‘Amok Time’ mixed with ‘The Poseidon Adventure.’
S3Ep06 blends ‘Beauty & the Beast’ with ‘Doctor Who.’
S3Ep07 is about weapons v their makers.
All: ★★★☆☆
-
#STEnterprise continues.
S2Ep22 has ‘Trip’ altering a culture’s sense of social justice, with consequences.
S2Ep23 reveals the first contact with the Borg.
S2Ep24 is the story of the start of the Warp2 programme.
All: ★★★★☆
-
Three solid #STEnterprise episodes.
S2Ep19 is a rehash of other Trek courts of injustice, but well written.
S2Ep20 is a lesson in leadership and forgiveness.
S2Ep21 is more forgiveness: allegorical WWII atrocities.
All/ ★★★★☆
-
Two solid episodes of #STEnterprise.
In S2Ep17 Archer & Tucker are arrested and need to be rescued. Excellent stuff here.
S2Ep18 involves non-corporeal beings possessing the crew. ST:TOS’s “Amok Time” but better.
Both: ★★★★☆
-
#STEnterprise continues with solid work.
S2Ep14 parallels early-epidemic AIDS, as well as Polyamory.
S2Ep15 has Archer negotiating the Golan Heights.
S2Ep15 sees Enterprise examining a T.A.R.D.I.S.
★★★☆☆
-
#STEnterprise has a slight improvement.
S2Ep11 is “The African Queen” in space.
S2Ep12 has everyone hiding from a storm.
S2Ep13 reminds me of an episode of ST:TOS, but I can’t think of which one.
Most of them: ★★★★☆
-
Three #STEnterprise episodes of meagre quality.
S2Ep08 has Malcolm misplace technology far beyond a planet’s understanding.
S2Ep09 has everyone all freaky.
S2Ep10 reveals Bobby Ewing was in the shower the whole time.
★★★☆☆
-
Continued enjoyable work from #STEnterprise.
S2Ep05 has Archer threatening to give people one.
S2Ep06 has Enterprise teaching fishing to deuterium patch workers.
S2Ep07 features T’Pol’s flashbacks. #NeverGetOutOfTheBoat
★★★★☆
-
#STEnterprise improves with these episodes.
S2Ep02 has a dinner story from T’Pol, changing Earth history.
In S2Ep03, Romulan 1st contact occurs & we learn about Malcolm.
S2Ep04 sees Enterprise get an oil change and a new muffler.★★★★☆
-
#STEnterprise delivers uneven episodes.
S1Ep25 has disappointing stories without conclusions.
S1Ep26 / S2Ep01 combines “It’s A Wonderful Life” and “The Great Escape” with time travel elements. Great action sequences.
Average of ★★★★☆
-
Two episodes of #STEnterprise where humans are Very Noble Indeed.
S1Ep23 involves a Vulcan Ambassador accused of criminal activity.
S1Ep24 involves a race of desert people oppressed by their government; a rebel metaphor.
★★★☆☆
-
#STEnterprise bounces back up a tad.
S1Ep20 is the question of ‘whose rights or interests are supreme?’
S1Ep21 is a parallel to WWII’s Internment Camps in North America
S1Ep22 is the story of a tennis net trying to get home. -
#STEnterprise hits a bit of a lull.
S1Ep17 has T’Pol tasting forbidden fruit.
S1Ep18 sees the struggle to respect hunters and prey.
S1Ep19 features the first chronological appearance of Ferengi.
Most: ★★★☆☆

#STEnterprise continues to please!
In S1Ep14, Archer learns to think like a Klingon.
S1Ep15 has kidnapping and action.
S1Ep16 saves money and cast members because of Ep15.★★★★☆ for all three.
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise really hits its stride.
S1Ep11 has a reappearance of the temporal war.
S1Ep12 has a new enemy alien.
S1Ep13 proves the inevitability of The Prime Directive.
All: ★★★★☆
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise S1Ep08 is about personal choices.
S1Ep09 demonstrates why “the Prime Directive” needs to be created.
S1Ep10 explains how ‘pirates are people too.’
★★★★☆
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise S1Ep05 has many firsts, including first contact with Xyrillians.
S1Ep06 deals with a ‘lost settlement’ with a mystery.
S1Ep07 has a monastery taken by Andorians.
All: ★★★☆☆
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise S1Ep03 + S1Ep04 are a mixed bag. 3 is a messy plot about people learning to communicate, including with themselves. 4 involves an hallucinogen messing with morale and interpersonal relations; as well as preconceived notions and biases.
Both episodes ★★★☆☆
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise S1Ep01 gets the show off to a strong start. Lots of firsts here and oodles of excellent world-building on the foundations of earlier generations.
★★★★☆
