A watercolor and oil pastel fractal design
I played around with the watercolors yesterday, after working up a fractal type of design from a page out of an old calendar. I couldn't replicate the fractals, but I loved how the watercolors flowed over the oil pastels on the page! I may make more of this kind of art! OMG - I don’t know if it is occipital neuralgia or some other thing, but man oh man! Shooting pain (grab your head and double over pain at its worst, lasting a few seconds) and a stiffer neck than I’ve ever had, along with muscle pain (and I am prone to neck and shoulder stiffness).
I went to the chiropractor on Monday when it was just starting to get bad and it seemed to help a bit, but things have been getting worse.
Went to my Physician on Wednesday because things were getting worse and she prescribed gabapentin which has certainly helped the shooting nerve pain at least. Ibuprofen helps a bit with the other pain. All leaves me a bit dopey. 😝
Headed for a massage today.
Physican ordered a CT scan and I go on Tuesday to rule out the really nasty stuff.
Anyone have experience with this? 🤕

Nice sunday read. The article goes on to propose to 1. Reframe Weed As Wellness, 2. Lean On Peer-Review Studies and 3. Dare To Question Existing Tech Platforms (and censorship). It advocates for invite-only discord grow diaries, yet fails to mention the #fediverse and #mastodon as great tools to keep #freedomofexpression and #humanrights going.
Lets get that corrected. Help me share this and let Rolling Stone know about our existence.

CW: Complaining
One major joint gets less cranky, so another nobly steps up to make me absolutely fucking miserable because why should I be allowed to wake up feeling halfway decent for once. Yesterday, it was both knees. Today, it's my entire right arm, with nerve pain for the lulz. My knees still hurt.

Bad news: forgot to bring my Advil and Tylenol to work today so my arm and shoulder are on their own once last night’s dose wears off.
Good News: My arm is still a little sore and touchy, but I have a lot more movement overall than I did a week ago!

The soonest I could get a physical therapy appointment is in a week so I also added myself to the waitlist.

My chiropractor said I’m much less stiff compared to last week. I asked her if I would benefit from physical therapy as well and she said yes.
On my way home through Victoria Park, I found a $20 bill! 💵‼️

Morning nerve flossing complete. That’s a strange term. But I feel better afterwards.

After the week I’ve had, I guess it’s not surprising that I’m not feeling great. Nerve pain is fucking exhausting.
I see my chiropractor again on Monday and will ask if she thinks physio would also help. I have improved but there is still pain and my body just feels *off*

Since I have experienced some shooting pain on the left side of my lower back today, I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with my chiropractor tomorrow after work. Hopefully she will be able to shed some light on what is going on.

UPDATE:
I was able to sleep in my bed last night by taking only over the counter painkillers (muscle and back pain ibuprofen + muscle relaxant from Costco) so that’s good.
Not sure why I was in so much pain Friday and Saturday night but it barely hurts any longer so yay?

The past 2 nights, I’ve been dealing with new pain that feels like sciatica, but worse + in a different location. 😩 It’s running down the outside of my left leg.
I’m guessing it’s a pinched nerve. Having suffered from nerve pain before that becomes much worse at night, this seems all too familiar. Had to sleep upright on the couch with a pillow under knees in order to not be in agonizing pain.
This morning feels better than yesterday morning so I’ll see how it is tonight.
