Interesting. So for a while now (since 2024-11-08), account migrations from Neos to Resonite have been shut down. A lot of people only thought it was the account/userID part of the migration, and you were still able to migrate data over if you managed to get Neos's platform profile imported.
Turns out this isn't the case, as confirmed today by Dante. Also going as far to say Neos is no longer "compatible infrastructure".

Heya all! i know it's been quite a bit! I've been doing quite a bit of re-factoring, as well as getting my life in order behind the scenes while i work on 3D models.

I never really got into #NeosVR but I played with #Resonite for a bit last night and I'm interested again. I started playing with importing my #VRChat avatar (forgot how many textures it expects to have embedded), but I got to thinking... is it possible to sculpt something from scratch inside the engine?

Any of you #NeosVR / #ResoniteVR buffs out there know what formats #Resonite #VR uses for textures, shaders, models, maps, etc? I'd like to make some Virtual Spaces in it when I have the time, but there doesn't seem to be documentation and I can't go on a deep dive right now...

I tried using #resonite a few days ago, and i am both positively surprised, and somewhat underwhelmed.
It is a much better experience when it comes to the general UI, it is definitely better made than the ones in #NeosVR. although it was a somewhat slow process, there is a system set in place to reserve NeosVR usernames to those coming form NeosVr, so i was able to grab my name without risk of someone having taken it, and overall the introduction to the world is very pleasant. my
Although on the negative end of things, as things stand now the systems in place are still very uninutitive and new users will still feel lost. i Look forwards to what changes will be made to make things more intuitive and unique
in the end, i'm still beyond happy to see this project be born, potentially the best outcome to the whole Neos crypto BS

Resonite is out in early access today, from the OG devs of #NeosVR
I'm really looking forward to checking it out! It looks like they are trying to build something special. I'm thinking about making an environment for it
