@IzzyOnDroidOrg I just got a reminder that those who had "RB updates only" enabled in #NeoStore were not affected. Which is correct: as the "broken version" could not be confirmed as RB, it was not marked as such – while the fixed one was.

So a good idea to use Neo and have that toggle on: whenever you install an RB up, it then only accepts RB updates – unless you override it manually. And non-RB apps are not affected, of course.

For those who use #NeoStore, one of our recommended clients, we have exciting news: they just added a setting that puts you in control of #ReproducibleBuilds.

Settings › Service › Disable auto-update on non-reproducible updates

If you want your RB apps only auto-updated if the update was also confirmed to fully match the source code, consider turning it on for extra security.

You can then still manually update it, regardless of reproducibility status.

After switching to a #LineageOS phone, I looked through #FDroid and #NeoStore to see what kind of #FOSS #games were available, and found Andor's Trail. It's the most Linux game ever, because it's ridiculously hard from the start, and if you look for help in online forums, you're likely to be greeted with with, well, the kind of nonsense Linux beginners encounter when looking for guidance online. One response literally included the phrase, "We're not here to hold your hand."

After switching to a #LineageOS phone, I looked through #FDroid and #NeoStore to see what kind of #FOSS #games were available, and found Andor's Trail. @82mhz Not quite what you're looking for, but the #Obtanium app installer let's you back up a list of its installed apps to your cloud service, so you can reinstall the list if occasion arises. I have a feeling #neostore might allow this too.

Great to here! I'm extremely happy, I use only open software in my main profile installed from #neostore . All invasive/sensitive apps installed from Google store I keep in a private space, that is activated only if I need to use it (once a day or so). This way none of the toxic app can spy on you because they are mostly inactive. But, it complicates sharing and app installs/ updates are rather slow

What's going on with Firefox Beta on Android? Tonight my Fenix installed through Obtainium on my de-googled Graphene OS did an update, and since then I cannot open it anymore. The crash log contains an ominous:

Caused by: com.google.android.play.core.review.ReviewException: -1: Review Error(-1): The Play Store app is either not installed or not the official version. (https://developer.android.com/reference/com/google/android/play/core/review/model/ReviewErrorCode.html#PLAY_STORE_NOT_FOUND)

It seems caused by the PlayStoreReviewPromptController which occasionally asks you to rate Firefox Beta on the Google Play Store.

Is it just me? I filed a bug report.

Avez-vous déjà essayé Neo Store ? Il faut l'installer depuis F-droid et il remplace ensuite ce dernier. Plus moderne il présente un autre avantage : de très nombreux dépôts sont présents par défaut. Il suffit de les activer.

- Obtainium for installing apps directly from source/repos.
- Neo Store for installing apps who cannot be arsed to have .apk files in their repos (#AntennaPod), yet without dealing with the typical F-Droid shenanigans.
- Accrescent, because hell, why not! The more, the merrier!
