    After a bit of fiddling my current keyboard layout on the new #sofle looks like this. It's based on #neoqwertz for the symbol layer.

    I'm still reconfiguring some shortcuts I use with apps or #i3wm as some keys (or combinations) are more difficult to handle now.

    L4 is completely mapped to my #i3wm shortcuts.

    Speedwise I'm back to ~30-35 words per minute. More important though I'm able to work with it at my job. Phew. 😍

    I did it ... 😊 I could not leave it be...
    I ordered custom printed #keycaps from WASD for my customized #chrumm #keyboard showing the full #NeoQWERTZ layout. 😅 Plus the keyboards first FN-layer.

    They arrived .. today 😀 and they are beautiful. Came out much nicer and less chaotic than I feared. Even though #chaos, chaosknot and fairydust-rocket are part of the design 😁

    On top of that, I added o-rings for a softer key-press bottom-out.

    Now that I finally have the CapsLock key back (modified #chrumm #Keyboard with 65keys), I've been trying to type using a #neoqwertz layout. (basically german layout with a layer for programming characters)

    Never thought I'd have so much fun and success trying alternative kbd layouts after avoiding them for decades! 😅

    I've tried it for a day during normal work now, with a printed cheat-sheet next to me. Already monkeytype clocks me at >=30wpm in the rust code typing exercise ({}\[]|<>+-_&)

    Kurze Erinnerung, dass es das #neoqwertz Layout gibt, das das #qwertz Layout (Ebenen 1 und 2) um die Ebenen 3 bis 6 von #neolayout ergänzt. Für Leute, die in irgendeiner Form programmieren, ist das schonmal ein großer Fortschritt, den man praktisch ohne Umlernen zu müssen, einfach haben kann.
