  1. wow. last week was busy. very. and then some.

also, tried to get as much done with #ClaudeCode as possible. Which is fine, but then this morning I see that they are not removing it after all. Which is great.

Anyhow, games are progressing; created a zenburn-ish theme for my #TeXAndLaTeX beamer slides; and fixed a few bugs in a couple of programs, including the #NeoFlux #WindowManager.

Now, I need to start prepping for the new #K12 school year.

  2. updated #NeoFlux, fixed a few things, added a few small features. added the man (thought I got it last time, guess I didn't).

    So far, so good.

  3. #NeoFlux has a few small issues still, but overall, I am quite happy with it. This screenshot shows five #Firefox windows grouped. Notice that the active tab gets 50% of the title bar.

18 total fluxDockApps are shown. Left side slit is 128x128 for pics and more important info. Right slit is default 96x96. (all 4 are customizable). Using stalonetray as dockapp for system tray.

Title bar right click menu shown.

Conky at the bottom w/ music info.

  4. got a lot done today. some on #NeoFlux, some on other stuff. Some even in the real world.

Up next: clean up the room and get ready for #AdultESOL class this weekend.

  5. #NeoFlux is up and running! Installed through #Gentoo portage localrepo.

Not as featureful as #Fluxbox yet, but includes one or two things I wish Fluxbox had. First, the active tab is always 50% of the title bar of the grouped window. The other tabs get equal space of the other 50%. Makes it easier to see the full title of the active tab.

Second is multiple slits. There are four (one for each edge), and and dockapps can be sent to any of them.

  6. lots of updates on my #FluxDockApps (should have them on my site tomorrow) as well as significant progress on #NeoFlux.

Updating #Gentoo; yet another kernel update --- that is fine, because it is probably security related. So, i'll prolly log straight into NeoFlux on reboot and start using it as my daily #WindowManager going forward.

Next up this summer: I want to finish "Sengoku America" and "Solar Expats" games. If time, work on Noah's Ark tetris-like game.

  7. Got a lot of work done with #ClaudeCode on #NeoFlux, my idea for a #Fluxbox-inspired grouping #WindowManager written in #Rust.

Supports 4 slits with per-slit #DockApps settings, window grouping, per-desktop backgrounds, gaps, etc. Also trying hidden desktops, which don't show up in window or desktop lists and are only accessible through keyboard shortcuts.

Testing it in #Xephyr so far, but will switch when I have a few days free to play around with it.

  8. working on a clipboard manager with various 'contexts' so that one-off copies don't pollute my clipboard history with stuff i'll never need again.

Also, I've added hidden desktops to my #NeoFlux #WindowManager project design. Can't get started on it until I have summer break time, but working on the design docs now. Hidden desktops are only accessible through keyboard shortcuts; they and their windows do not show up in window lists. Is there real use to these? Not sure.
