  1. Don't miss out on the fun! The #NEMSLinux Developer Lockdown is at the half-way mark! A full workweek of open source development, bug squashing, feature request implementation, and tonight's interactive Google Meet with the developer of NEMS Linux... ME!

  2. #Maker Project Update: A #Kingston USB Flash Drive replaces the MicroSD as the main hard drive on the #RaspberryPi 5, running #NEMSLinux 1.7 Build 2. I also added a DHT Thermal/Humidity Sensor on the far side of the chassis. With these two upgrades, the NEMS 1U #Enterprise Appliance is ready for field use!

  3. As a #Maker I found this template from @RPiSpy really helpful! I'm building a #NEMSLinux Server out of a 1U rack-mountable PoE network switch, and embedding the #RaspberryPi 5 inside the switch. I taped this to the inside of the switch and used a center punch to dent the holes, which I'll now drill out and replace with standoffs. And yes, the template is compatible with the RPi 4 and 5 too, even though the file is from 2012. 😊 Brilliant! Download and print: raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2012/11/

  4. As the city of #Toronto sleeps, #NEMSLinux keeps us sysadmins aware of any potential issues with our corporate infrastructure.

  5. Very cool @nicd - I too enjoy having my own hosted solutions, including a Minecraft server (which is sorely under-utilized) :) Is yours a LAMP/LEMP stack? If yes, talk to me about my monitoring agent for #NEMSLinux that proactively notifies you (complete with a sexy tactical display) of issues such as high CPU temperature, low disk space, high load, low memory, etc.

  6. In my quest to get #Adagios working on the modern #Nagios Core running on #Debian #Bookworm (specifically for #RaspberryPi5) I came across several people who announced giving up on Adagios altogether: A futile effort. That's where my project #NEMSLinux comes in: I do all the nasty work so it just runs for users out of the box. And I'm proud of today's progress...

  7. My #RaspberryPi 5 #development board arrived over #Christmas #Holidays and I've got it hooked up, working on compiling #NEMSLinux to the new device. Can't wait to release the next version of my #Enterprise Asset Monitoring Appliance! nemslinux.com/
