CW: Qìgōng: Still Meditation
#Qigong #StillMeditation is most unique for the fact that it spans every posture—laying down, sitting, and standing. The emphasis is much like in #ZhanZhuang where whatever posture you’re in, you’re expected to hold it for quite some time and focus entirely on #Neidan (internal transformation).
The “right attitude” for the beginner is to adopt the most comfortable posture that allows them to relax entirely, remain awake, and regulate their breathing while leading the #Qi with a clear and focused mind. If the posture feels weird or uncomfortable, it will be a distraction.
This is very different from other schools of #Meditation which may have very specific postures, while in some traditions there is one and only one acceptable posture.
