Delighted to see that another long-time friend and collaborator, @hcayless is part of a team receiving an #NEHgov Collaborative Research grant! The project director is Adam Mestyan and the project is "Digital Cairo: A Study of Urban Transformation, 1828–1914: Preparation of a digital database and interpretive website about the modernization of Cairo between 1828 and 1914."

I'm told there's Arabic #TEIXML involved.

Leigh Lieberman at the Alexandria Archive Institute is in receipt of an #NEHgov Institute for Advanced Topics in the #DigitalHumanities grant entitled "Networking Archaeological Data and Communities: A virtual and in-person institute supporting 15 participants over three years teaching methods for managing and publishing digital archaeological data.
